Make the most out of your session

Slow down

Pilates is all about details. Each starting position is important and each movement should be performed with control and with the correct mindful intent. The exercises are not about how far you can go; it’s about how stable your body can be while you move. Pilates lets you focus on one thing – your body.

Take your brain with you

Leave distractions and stresses out of your mind, turn off your cell phone. It is not enough to just go through the motions: be consciously involved with the movement process and use the feedback provided by your sensory system to refine the movement. It will also help you to feel more relaxed and increase your brain function.

Make it a habit

Pilates is a practice that belongs to you. The good news is that you can practice Pilates all day long! Pilates teaches you how to use and balance your muscles during your workout so apply everything you have learned in a session all day long. As you become more aware of your body, you can correct your posture straight away.
