My name is Carole, I am the founder and principal teacher of PilateStance.
I am passionate about body movement and the way our lifestyles impact our posture. My goal is not to impose a “one size fits all” method on my clients, but instead help them learn and explore more about themselves through movement (what they’re avoiding or overusing) while looking for and experiencing new ways of moving freely. To achieve this goal, I use a controlled and progressive approach to Pilates, teaching first the essence of movement and build up from there. Whether teaching a group or a private session, my aim is to establish a teaching environment that promotes effective and efficient movement through a collaborative, honest and positive relationship with my clients. I can teach in French & English.
After a career in digital project management in Paris, with Classical Pilates as my fitness routine for 10 years, I decided to make Pilates more than a hobby when I moved to London. I completed my matwork training with Body Control Pilates in 2017 and I have since deepened my understanding of Pilates and done further specialist trainings. I hold a Level 4 Qualification in Instructing Pilates Matwork (May 2021). A Level 4 certificate represents the highest level of achievement within the health and fitness industry, demonstrating an advanced knowledge and skills to teach Pilates across a very broad spectrum of clients, including special population groups.
I am also a member of the Body Control Pilates Association and the Body Control Pilates Academy.
